Never before has it been more important to have a well balanced ladle design capable of providing optimal performance at the lowest possible cost. Fedmet has available proven products for every ladle, slag, or practice. PINNACLE® magnesia-carbon brick for LMF ladle slag lines are one hundred percent electrically-fused magnesite with additions of high-purity graphite, and metallic antioxidants as needed. Non-LMF ladles slaglines that don’t warrant magnesia-carbon brick could benefit from either a high-purity PARAGON® dolomite brick (burned or carbon bonded), or one of a range of DURACHROME® magnesia-chrome brick (direct-, semi re-, or fully re-bonded) made from one hundred percent virgin raw material. Barrels and bottoms can be tailored to fit the operation using one or a combination of the following:

PINNACLE®, DURACHROME®, PARAGON®, or one of the industry-leading ORACLE® alumina-magnesia-carbon brick that provide in-site spinel formation for minimal steel penetration and superior thermal shock resistance. Castables are also available for anything from pre-cast shapes to entire ladle linings. Purging plugs are available in many different styles to accommodate every steel grade and practice. Fedmet offers these engineered ladle products individually or as part of our ACE program of full-service and turn-key lines. Once started, Fedmet commits its resources to balancing the lining for the least possible amount of spent refractory and the lowest operating costs.
