PRODUCT MANAGER: 

Fedmet is searching for a full time, long term iron making Product Specialist/Manager.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated professional with the ability to work independently.

The successful candidate will have experience in and a working knowledge of integrated steel and will possess the ability to analyze performance data and present results logically and succinctly. A qualified candidate will be able to engage the supplier, Fedmet’s sales team and the customers’ operational and purchasing team. 

This position requires a hands-on approach dealing with laborer to department heads. Duties include quality control management and management of trials and product performance in service, including analysis and problem-solving relating to the refractory itself as well as the drilling and plugging process.

Must be able to climb stairs and lift 100 pounds. 

Education requirements include a BS in a scientific or engineering field and/or a combination of work experience. Candidate must have knowledge of refractory selection and installation. Familiarity with iron producing refractories is a bonus along with taphole clay experience. Must be willing to travel 50% or more.

The successful candidate will have experience and a working knowledge of alumina-graphite products for casting of steel. Duties include product design, quality control management, and management of trials and product performance in service.

Education requirements include a BS in a scientific or engineering field and/or a combination of work experience. Candidate must be able to write technical reports and generate and manipulate spreadsheets. AutoCAD is a plus.

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated sales professional with the ability to work independently. The person will sell technical services to complex accounts in the manufacturing sector, and will have to demonstrate the ability to learn, develop and grow large accounts as well as successfully build new relationships.

Education requirements are minimum high-school diploma. A bachelor's degree or extensive industry knowledge is a plus.

Must be willing to travel 50% or more and not be afraid to get hands dirty.

The position pays a salary plus commission and has paid vacation, Group Medical and Dental Insurance and employees are eligible to participate in a Simple IRA plan with Company match.

A car or allowance is also included. A relocation allowance is possible for the right candidate.
